VePack 200 PH
The VePack 200-PH is the stand alone module for packhouse operations. This basic system with manual infeed is perfectly suited for low cost packing of various products. Either plain or pre-printed film can be used, and each system can be combined with automatic labeling, stamping or printing, saving additional labor, enhancing the product presentation and ensuring product identification.

Your advantages:
- Low investment cost, unique product quality
- Easy to use, simple to maintain
- Modular concept, system integrated solutions
- Suitable for Iceberg Lettuce, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Melons and more
One unit : this solution is ideal if you have to pack a limited volume of iceberg lettuce, and prefer a minimal investment. The limitations of this system lie in the fact that the production output will be reduced when the packer needs more time to clean the lettuce. The realistic capacity will lie between 700 – 850 packs/hour (one person cleaning and packing at the same time).
With a double unit you do not only have double capacity, but also much more flexibility when the quality of the lettuce is less good. In an optimal system you combine 2 machines with one collection table, and integrate a “cleaning belt' which can be used when needed. In the situation when your lettuce is good quality and when the maximum capacity of the system is not required, two persons can clean & pack, each one machine. One person easily can pack (and can label if needed). This way you can realize the highest output per person. Total capacity 1,400 – 1,700.
Basically the multiple system is used when you have on average a good lettuce quality and you want to maximize your output per person (with limited investment), with the maximum flexibility to easily add machines if your capacity grows. For multiple systems “one person per unit” is the most logical way to work. For each unit, you can calculate with 700 – 850 heads/hour. As collection system you can use either a turning table or a low speed buffer belt.
In the attachment a four station system has been drawn.
One person can put lettuce in boxes for 3,5 machines max. (if the boxes are standing ready and if there is no need for sorting out).
With 4 machines, two persons can easily put the lettuce in the boxes, combined with palletizing and general logistics.
Alternatively you can choose for a system where each person cleans and packs their own lettuce.
This system gives you lower output, but you can optimize your labor efficiency.
